Resumes That Stand Out

How to edit resume templates in MS Word

How to Edit Size of the Shapes in Your Resume

You can edit the shapes size. They are mostly lines that visually separate resume sections. You might edit the size when you for example change the resume content width. You can also want to have lines (that they are part of the resume desing) thinner or thicker

Select the shape by double-clicking on it. If you can't click on it (you are clicking and the shape is still not active) click "Layout" tab and then "Selection Pane" and choose the shape.

You will notice that the shape is active:

When the shape is active the "Drawing Tools" appear in the ribbon, with the "Format" tab active. Change the size in the "Size" box:

The second option to change the shape size is to double-click on it to make it activate and then click and hold on one of the small circles and move the mouse.
